Live Music: The Professors of Sweet, Sweet Music

April 28 @ 9:30 pm - 1:00 am

$10.00
TONY Koos (Bass, back up vocals and handsomeness) –

About 20 years ago, Tony’s parents made the mistake of buying him an electric guitar and amp for his 17th birthday. Having been misled into believing that he could turn the amp up to level 11 by the movie Spinal Tap, he played guitar and bass in 70s style punk, metal and rock bands. With the Professors he has pleasantly graduated into discovering modern concepts such as melody and harmony. He cites key musical influences that include Johnny Cash, Flea and Animal, the drummer from the Muppets. When not playing with the band, Tony avoids lifting heavy objects and searches for any kind of ride he can find on a board whether it be over snow, asphalt or water.

EARL Henrichon (ukulele, rhythm guitar, lead vocals and back up handsomeness) –

A former student of Earl’s taught him how to play the guitar a few years ago (right under Jeremy’s nose) and since he has very little shame it quickly escalated into way more than it should have. He starting writing songs about life and politics and started playing them for anyone who would listen. At first that was just people at the Occupy protests and then it quickly became anyone unlucky enough to walk into an event or restaurant that we happen to be playing in. About 6 months after he purchased a ukulele for his wife to learn, he decided to learn it for himself and the rest is history…he has no musical background and really very little reason to be allowed to sing songs in front of others. Yet it keeps happening, and it sure is fun.

JEREMY Haddad (lead guitar, back up vocals and cougar bait handsomeness)-

Jer started playing guitar when he took a class, sophomore year in high school. The following summer he took lessons from a family friend who taught him everything he knows. He is POSSM’s lead guitarist, however he loves exposing himself (musically that is) to other positions in the band. POSSM is the first band he has ever been a part of with a name, that got paid gigs, and whose creator was his former health teacher in high school. After a long day of school (undergrad at ECSU) and rushing to his car to avoid any stalking POSSM paparazzi, he likes to relax with a little music and play a little guitar. He goes bananas when he sings at home alone and blasts his iPod. If you see him, he will almost always have his iPod on and his earbuds in. He likes working out, although Jon takes the cake on this activity. He is the band mate with the worst vision, least facial hair, and has the oldest car, but don’t judge a band by its assets…judge it by its name. He also likes any sort of outside activity, anything that’s free, and he looooooves food. If Earl wrote a song about our favorite foods, that’d be possm.
